A New Autumn in Sweden

Dear Readers,

It’s been almost a year since I last updated this webpage, and I don’t know what to tell you, except, well, life. During this year I have moved, with all my books and bookshelves. I’ve bought more books than I can really keep track of. And my new book, Welcome to the Pine Away Motel and Cabins, have been translated into English! It’s going to be published in the US in January, and I can’t wait for you to meet my Henny.

Until then, it is autumn again, and as Sara would have said, no other season goes quite as good with books. Isn’t it splendid?

And, because I’m sure you want to see it, here’s the cover. Isn’t it splendid too?

Hej Katarina!
I’ve been checking both the English and Swedish versions of your blog periodically and what a nice surprise to see a new posting from you! The library system I work for has ordered (only) three copies of your new book (I just checked) and I’ve put in a reservation for when they arrive. Given the popularity of your first book here, I expect they’ll have to order more copies later. And I’ll put the Swedish version on my Christmas list for the Swedish friends coming for Christmas.
Now I just hope that your second book (in Swedish) finally gets an English translation, so I can share that story with my monolingual friends and family. I bought it the last time I was in Sweden and liked it even better than Broken Wheel–which I saw yesterday in a display at the local Barnes and Noble (as a book that readers who liked I-forget-what would also enjoy)–and which I’m sure will renew its popularity in time for the new book’s publication.
It’s autumn (fall) here in Minnesota. We still have brilliant color here in the southern half of the state, with temperatures approaching 20 C–even though we had snow last week, especially in the northern half.

  I’ve only every been to Minnesota in late summer, but would love to see it in the fall! My second book might be translated into English soon – my American publisher is looking it to it, so fingers crossed. But I’m glad you liked it! I hope you will like my new one as well: Henny, the main character, really means a lot to me. But let me know what you thought either way!
